What is a Card Carrying Jesus Freak?

I'm a Card Carrying Jesus Freak. I know, you're probably thinking...what exactly does that mean? Are you proud of that label? Well, here's the deal.

I love Jesus.

I really, really love Jesus. And if you know me or if you're going to get to know me, you were probably going to call me a Jesus Freak anyway! I'm a CCJF (Card Carrying Jesus Freak) because I'm proud of that label. I've got no problem being a Jesus Freak, in fact I think it's the absolute best label I could possible have!

What's a CCJF all about? Jesus Freaks....

...Claim Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

...Believe that Jesus was born the Son of God, that he lived a perfect and sinless life, and that he died for our sins.

...Believe that if you place your heart and trust in Him, and if you put your faith in Him alone, and if you ask Him to forgive all your sins, He will do just that! Forgiven forever, completely, and all your sins forgotten.

...Believe that Jesus is the only way, that simply believing Him and placing your faith in Him is the way to Heaven. Not by religion, not by good works, not by our own strength but by His Grace Alone!

...Believe that the Bible is true in its entirety and live by the Word of God.

...Are NOT ASHAMED of the Gospel and want to share it with everyone! If you had the cure to cancer, wouldn't you want to...wouldn't you be obligated to...share it? We want to share the Good News, that God offers you forgiveness and eternal life as a Free Gift and all you need to do to be certain that when you die you will go to Heaven..... is to accept that gift.

What isn't a CCJF? Jesus Freaks Don't....

....Judge others. It's not our job. We don't have to agree with you, and you don't have to agree with us. But we reserve the right to respectfully disagree while still loving you for who you are, and to pray for you. We hope you'll do the same!

...Harm others in the name of God. That's not what loving Jesus is about. Those guys who kill, maim, slander, ridicule or persecute in the name of Jesus? They're not Jesus Freaks, they're something else. Don't lump us in the same catagory, please.

...Act superior because of our faith. We were all born sinners, we are all human. It is JESUS who takes away our sins and makes us righteous, not ourselves! And anybody at all can become righteous by faith in Him, so our only boasting is in Christ alone.

So there you have it! We are nothing without Jesus, but with Him our lives are amazing. Life looks so different when you're a Jesus Freak! Do you want to know more? Do you want to understand?
